June is a great time to explore Harbor country, with all its farm markets and festivals.

It’s also a wonderful time to explore the Courtyard Gallery and all its works of art.  If you love art, as we do, we have many events scheduled for this month for your viewing pleasure.

Starting on June 1st, we will feature Italian impressionist oil painter Silvano Assensi.  He brings his Italian homeland, Luca, Italy, to life with his broad pallet strokes and bright colors.

June 8th will feature Raku artist Howard Wilder with his Native American designed vessels.  Also featured will be, famed, glass sculptor from North Carolina David Goldhagen and his brilliantly colored free formed glass.

Saturday June 15th, will showcase photographers Joe Ladendorf and Ted Post. Their beautiful landscape photography on aluminum are bound to dazzle you senses.

June 22nd will feature the jewelry artistry of two renowned Southwestern artists, Debra Worrel Hernandez and Ann Turpin Thayer.  Debra creates dichroic glass pieces and fashions them with natural beads accented with silver or copper.  Ann Thayer, contemporary jewelry, uses gem stones with silver or gold fill wire wrap.  Another series Ann is showing Kumihimo, an ancient Japanese form of braiding.

June 29th, from the Ukraine, artist Olga Orlovaska – Soaltys will be present to talk about her reverse paintings on glass.  She will explain the use of pagan symbols, their history and meanings.
